RICHMOND FUDGE FROSTING

Double for a layer cake.
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
1 square unsweetened chocolate, grated
dash salt
1/2 cup boiling water
1-1/2 Tbsp butter
1/2 Tsp vanilla
Mix sugar and cornstarch together; add chocolate, salt, and water; cook until thickened.
Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
MONTANA FUDGE CAKE

1/2 cup butter
1-1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 cups sifted cake flour; sift 6-8 times
1 Tsp baking soda
1/2 Tsp salt
1 cup ice water
1 Tsp vanilla
Bake at 350 degrees, 18-20 minutes.
